Civil Air Patrol’s Woodfield Composite Squadron hosts an Open House & Sample Emergency Services Mission
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
19 Jan, 2006

The Woodfield Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol invites you to an open house and demonstration of our Emergency Services capabilities. Starting at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 7th at the Schaumburg Regional Airport, come see our cadets in action, get inside one of our aircraft, fly a fight simulator, see the gear our ground teams use in the field, help send radio communications, hear a presentation about our Emergency Services program, hear about our efforts to support Homeland Security, and take a tour of Schaumburg Airport.

We especially invite the parents and relatives of our current cadets. Many parents wonder if they are hearing "the rest of the story" from their kids, so join us and see firsthand what is involved in our meetings and missions. See why your kids want to study so hard for something other than school.

No matter who you are, if you have been wondering who we are or what we do, stop in. Everyone is invited... and please bring a friend. Learn how your daughter, son, niece, nephew, granddaughter or grandson, or even you can learn to fly!

Come and see what all the excitement is about!

The Woodfield Composite Squadron has been in operation since 1992 and is based out of Schaumburg Regional Airport in suburban Chicago. Civil Air Patrol, the official Air Force Auxiliary, is a nonprofit organization performing more than 95 percent of inland search and rescue missions in the continental U.S. as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. Our volunteers take a leading role in aerospace education around our community and serve as mentors to America's youth through CAP cadet programs.
